Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Plagino is operated by Research Crave (“we”, “us”). These terms govern your use of the Plagino website and service at plagino.com. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.

2. The service

Plagino analyses documents you upload and returns an assessment of how likely the text is to be AI-generated, along with plagiarism matches against web sources and your own previously scanned documents.

These results are statistical estimates, not proof. Detection scores can produce both false positives and false negatives. You should not treat a Plagino report as sole evidence of academic misconduct or rely on it as the only basis for a decision affecting someone.

3. Your account

You need an account to use Plagino. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. Accounts are for individual use; do not share them.

You must be old enough to enter a contract in your jurisdiction. If you are using Plagino on behalf of an institution, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for it.

4. Content you upload

You keep ownership of everything you upload. You grant us only the licence needed to run the service: to store, process and analyse your documents so we can produce your reports.

You confirm you have the right to upload what you submit. Do not upload content that infringes someone else’s rights, or that you are not permitted to share with a third-party processor.

Documents you scan are fingerprinted so that later scans on your own account can be checked against them for cross-document similarity.

5. Plans, billing and limits

The Free plan includes a limited number of scans per month. The Pro plan is billed monthly and includes a daily scan allowance. Current pricing and limits are shown on the pricing section of our homepage.

Payments are processed by Creem, which acts as the merchant of record for all purchases. Your subscription renews automatically each month until cancelled. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

We may change pricing with reasonable notice. Changes will not affect the billing period you have already paid for.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or resell the service or its outputs;
• circumvent scan limits, rate limits, or access controls, including by creating multiple accounts;
• upload malware, or use the service to attack or disrupt our infrastructure;
• use the service to harass, defame, or unlawfully discriminate against anyone.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, and will try to give notice where it is reasonable to do so.

7. Availability

We aim to keep Plagino running reliably but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service. Scheduled maintenance and third-party outages can affect processing times.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, or loss of opportunity arising from your use of Plagino. Our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is material we will give notice before it takes effect, and continuing to use Plagino after that means you accept the updated terms.
